U19STARS Tryouts Rescheduled / U18STARS

The U19STARS tryouts have been rescheduled to accomodate the players that are still competing in the finals of Super 8 High School Tournament.

Select Skills Hockey is offering small Group lessons for beginner hockey player's hoping to move up onto a travel team next season.  Our small group sessions will reinforce proper hockey stance and stride while focusing on the skill elements most often graded in a young player's tryout.

  • Two Skate Power Turns
  • Backward Skating
  • Puck Control and Shooting

 

Location: Flynn Rink

Dates:       Sunday evenings starting 2/13 thru March

The 2010-11 Individual Training Series complete schedule has been updated and you may now pre-register online. See below for the complete schedule.

 

About ITS:

Select Skills Hockey's ITS is a small group training camp that focuses on core skills and is designed to work along with the player's team practices. Each camp meets for 4 wks and focuses on 1 core skill. This allows the players to concentrate 1 hr on nothing but improving that particular core skill. Every 4 wks, the focused core skill is changed so that together we can build a complete player. The next session will expand on the overspeed drills that we have been doing and now incorporate puck control.

 

***Walk-ons are welcome.
