Our History

Select Skills Hockey was started in 2000 as a summer training camp for Select hockey players north of Boston. The objective of the school was to improve hockey skating techniques along with developing and improving ice hockey skills and speed.

Our Focus

Although the program has rapidly grown over the last 10yrs, the focus has not changed. "Better Skaters Make Better Hockey Players".  Our camp offerings & curriculum have grown to cover every facet of the game while each camp still focuses on development of the basic skills sets. 

In an environment where NHL dreams & scoring goals are often overly highlighted by both parents & coaches, SSH is focused on the graduated development of each player.  This development must always start with the foundation of skating and building the player from the skates up.  The steps of development are always different for each player & are often overlooked or rushed through.  There is no need to push a child onto the next step of development, if they have not completely understood and implemented the previous step.
