The Jr. Reds 8th Grade Team has a placement game on 10/21/10 4p @ Hockeytown.  All 8th graders that are trying out should attend.  

In the first 2 seasons fo the MSDHL, the Jr. Reds have advanced to the finals in both years.  We are looking forward to continuing a tradition of learning and winning.

The SSH Jr. Reds is a development program designed to prepare skaters both physically and mentally for the rigors of High School hockey.  The freshman year of high school will be the most difficult step any player will make during his/her career.  The Jr Reds is designed to give these players a future glimpse of reality.  The coaches will give these players an opportunity to understand systems, realistic expectations, personal accountability, and discipline.  

For roster consideration, you must pre-register online.  A $250 deposit will be reserved  upon registeration and the balance will be due before the season begins.

Registration:

10WINT-REDS1 - Boys 8th Grade

10WINT-REDS2 - Boys 6th, 7th & 8th Grade

10WINT-REDS3 - Girls 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade

All players are selected from the Melrose area.  The SSH Jr. Reds will be competing in the MSDHL this season.  Players residing in towns that do not currenlty participate in the MSDHL are welcome to tryout. 

If you are a High School Player looking for a great HS preparation camp sign up for the 10FALL-HS1 at hockeytown every Sunday night in Saugus til your tryouts.  We have 5 spaces remaining. 

***Walk-ons are welcome as long as attandance levels permit.  Before attending, please email info@selectskillshockey.com to confirm that there will be space.

Congratualtions to SSH Instructors Joe & Steven Whitney who, along with their Boston College Hockey teammatesvisited the White House and met the President on Sept10th. This was Joe's 2nd National Championship in 3yrs!

If you like our summer skills, let your Town Youth Hockey Board of Directors know!  SelectSkills Hockey works with a number of Town & Select Programs during the winter season to provide a effective skills programs for their skaters.  We come to your rink and direct a development program designed for the appropriate age and skill level.  Most importantly, we coach from EXPERIENCE!  Our instructors have been there and done that.  They ensure that the skaters understand why they are doing the drills and what core skills they are working on.
